April 14, 2015: I hosted and emceed the HX360 Innovation Challenge, a business competition for digital health, health IT and health services companies focused in improving patient experience at hospitals and health systems. The event kicked off February 4, 2015 and the final live event, which featured the four finalists and a panel of high profile health system judges, took place at HIMSS on April 14, 2015 at McCormick Place. May 30, 2014: I had such a great time speaking at the HealthXL Global Gathering 2014 in Dublin, Ireland. HealthXL is a collaboration between IBM, Cleveland Clinic, GSK, Novartis, Silicon Valley Bank and others to create the first truly global network in digital health. The invitation-only event was meant to celebrate the most innovative entrepreneurs, investors and strategic corporate players in digital health worldwide.

September 12, 2013: I participated in an event called “HEALTH, BEHAVIOR and ECONOMICS”, an invitation-only event hosted by Life Sciences Angel Network (LSAN) featuring to Dan Ariely, PhD, a renowned Professor of Psychology & Behavioral Economics at Duke University, the author of New York Times bestsellers Predictably Irrational and The Upside of Irrationality, and, most recently, the author of The Honest Truth About Dishonesty. The event was held September 12, 2013 in New York City.
September 18, 2013: I was interviewed live for 30 minutes on This Week in Health Innovation, a weekly radio show on the BlogTalk Radio Network sponsored by Health Innovation TV, with co-hosts Dr. Pat Salber (@docweighsin) and Gregg Masters (@2healthguru). September 26, 2013: I spoke about “Leveraging Silicon Valley” at IBM’s Health XL Summit, an invitation only event to be held at Stanford University. Health XL is a global digital health mentor network that brings together leaders from the industry together with entrepreneurs to advance digital health.
September 30, 2013: I participated as a judge and team captain at the 2013 DC to VC event, sponsored by Health 2.0 and Morgenthaler Ventures. The event was held at the Santa Clara Convention Center in conjunction with the Health 2.0 Conference.

October 10, 2013: I participated in a healthcare innovation panel at Bloomberg’s Conference on the Longevity Economy, held at the Crosby Street Hotel in Soho. The panel was televised and the link to view it is HERE.
October 17, 2013: I moderated a panel entitled, “Medical Devices: What Those Paying are Saying” at the Elsevier IN3 Medical Device 360 Summit October 16-18 at the Mark Hopkins Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco. The panel included fantastic commentary from Ken Paulus, President & CEO, Allina Health System; Andrew Oliveira, MD, Senior Medical Director, Aetna; and, Csaba Mera, MD, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, CAMBIA Health Solutions.
October 18, 2013: I spoke on “How to Give a Great Pitch” at the UC Berkeley Hacking Health Meeting held October 18-20 at the UC Berkeley SkyDeck Accelerator. Go Bears!
October 30, 2013: I participated as a judge in the quest to name the most promising 2013 HealthTech company at the HealthTech Conference entitled Building a Business in the New HealthTech Ecosystem, held at the Computer Museum in Mountain View, CA.

September 21, 2012: I was emcee at the AARP Health Innovaction@50+ Live Pitch event at the AARP Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana. Held at the New Orleans Convention Center, this premier showcase featur exciting companies in the health technology and innovation sector that serve the needs and wants of Americans 50 and older, as well as numerous investors in this sector. October 10, 2012: I participated as an investor judge in the Health IT Startup Showcase at the DC-to-VC Event held Oct 10th in San Francisco, the last day of the Health 2.0 conference, at the SF Hilton in Union Square. The Health IT Startup Showcase is a nationwide contest to find the best venture backable startup ideas in health IT. Applications and other information can be found at HERE.
October 11, 2012, I moderated the Pacific Business Group on Health’s Innovation Day panel on cardiac innovations. The panel included an employer perspective from WalMart and then a back and forth discussion between the employer position on what should be covered and presentations from companies CardioDx, Azumio, HeartFlow, and AliveCor. The event was held at the Four Seasons San Francisco.
October 17, 2012, I was a panelist at the IN3 Medical Device 360 Summit meeting on a panel entitled Raising Venture Capital: The Best of Times or the Worst of Times. Co-panelists included David Cassak and Tom Salemi of In Vivo, Startup, Medtech Insight and The Gray Sheet as well as a number of medtech VCs. The IN3 Medical Device 360 Summit was held October 15-17 at the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins in San Francisco.
